Consignment store owner, Sean Wotherspoon, designed the Nike Air Max 1/97 sneaker for the Nike Vote Forward contest in 2017. Released on Air Max Day 2018, this contest-winning design combines the signature wavy upper of the Nike Air Max 97 sneaker with the iconic midsole of the Air Max 1. The eclectic design channels his passion for vintage apparelfrom 80s Nike caps that inspire the corduroy panels of the upper to the retro smiley that adorns the insole. Interchangeable Velcro patches on the tongue round out the design.
